Mary Pierson

Mary's interest in spiritual direction was peaked after attending an ACTS retreat in Amarillo, TX. Returning to Houston she looked for formation programs in spiritual direction and inquired at the Cenacle.  She was accepted by Sr. Mary Dennison and graduated from Spiritual Direction Institute in 2010.  That same year she began working for the Cenacle and served as Director of Outreach and Development for seven years.

In 2020 the visionary committee desire to continue the ministry of the Sisters invited her to speak to them about the day to day operations of  a retreat center.  A few months later she was asked and accepted the position to serve as the first Executive Director of Emmaus Spirituality Center.

Mary is committed to the mission of Emmaus Spirituality Center to companion all who desire to awaken and deepen their relationship with God, self, and others and to accommpany them on their journey of transformation..
